Landscape Design & Installation in Franklin, TN
Your landscaping goals are the first priority on every project, and it starts with a free design meeting. We sit down with you to capture exactly what you need and the style you like, then build a custom landscaping plan for your home.
Our staff landscape design architect draws a visual of every new project, so you know what you are getting before anything goes in the ground. On large or detailed jobs, that becomes a virtual 3D visualization. You see it before we build it. Then the same company installs it, with no hand-off to a stranger halfway through.
The work covers accent landscaping around the house, privacy screens, custom landscapes around swimming pools, outdoor lighting and gardens. Homeowners from Franklin to Brentwood, Spring Hill and Mt. Juliet use us for the whole picture. Often the plan includes privacy trees along a fence line, a patio or wall from our hardscape crews, and landscape lighting to show it off after dark. Dave Kmita and Todd Baker, our founders, both have long backgrounds in designing and installing new landscapes. The full list is on the services page.
What we design and install

How a design project goes
Book the free design meeting through the app or by phone. We meet with you, take down what you want, and come back with a plan and a visual. Once you approve it, the install crew follows the drawing. On the commercial side, the same process put over 1,200 shrubs and 500 larger trees into the ground at 2222 Rosa L Parks Blvd in Nashville. A home job is smaller, but the promise holds: if you are not happy, we fix it, or you don’t pay.

Landscape Design & Installation questions
How much does landscape design cost in Franklin, TN?
The first design meeting is free. From there our staff landscape design architect creates a custom plan, and the installation is priced from that plan, so you know the cost before any work begins. Call (615) 358-0012 or start in the LawnValue app.
Do you provide 3D landscape design drawings before installing?
Yes. Every new project gets a visual representation from our staff landscape design architect, and large or detailed projects get virtual 3D visualizations. You see the design before we build it, so you can change anything on paper first.
Who designs the landscape plans at LawnValue?
Our own staff landscape design architect draws each plan in house. Our founders, Dave Kmita and Todd Baker, also bring backgrounds in designing and installing landscapes, hardscapes, lighting and irrigation, and the same company that designs your landscape installs it.
Who gets the permits and HOA approval for a landscaping project?
Under our terms, the property owner obtains any government permits and any approval needed from an HOA or architectural review committee before work starts. We give you the plan and visuals to submit, and the install is scheduled once approvals are in hand.
What kinds of landscape projects do you design and install?
Home accent landscaping, privacy screens, custom landscapes around swimming pools, outdoor lighting and gardens. Larger plans often add patios or walls from our hardscape crews, and the whole job runs through one point of contact.
